Product Description

The Mexican 1843 Black Eagle $20,000 pesos bond is one of the rarest financial historical documents in the world!

The Black Eagles bonds were issued by a Supreme Decree of the President of Mexico Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. The bond was issued on May 11, 1843 to pay interest from June 1, 1843. Repayment was secured by 25% of all Maritime Customs Duties with the exception of those deriving from Matamoras, which were to be exclusively devoted to the servicing of the principal and interest of this debt.

Its important to note that the Mexican 1843 Black Eagle $20,000 pesos is the highest denomination in existence. The 27,500 Black eagle that exist have been fraudulently altered. According to the Mexican Hacienda government entity they never issued any denomination higher than the $20,000 pesos.
